Tamarindo is a well organized community found in Guanacaste Costa Rica; all basic services such as emergency centers, convenience stores, gas stations are nearby.

Tamarindo Beach is known for its clear water and gentle waves, as well as its golden-sand beach, sea bluffs, hills and overall natural beauty.

You can surf year-round in Tamarindo, with the best season being from March to November. All types of waves can be found here; the best are located at the river mouth and on the southern end of the beach. The northern pacific is the dryer zone, you can expect sunshine all day long except in the rainy season when afternoon shower are regular.

Tamarindo beach has one of the greatest varieties of restaurants, tour operators, hotels & services based on the shores of Costa Rica.

A 5-hour drive from San José, a 45 minutes drive from Liberia or a 45 minutes flight from San José are some of the options to get there. Renting a 4x4 is recommend even when it is not required.
