Cahuita is located 49 km from Limón via the Limón-Bribrí highway, in the Talamanca District.

Well known as the first marine park in the country, Cahuita is one of the country’s most beautiful beaches. Cahuita National Park beach is 50 meters wide and extends for 3 km. It contains 600 hectares of coral reefs, tropical vegetation (coconut, almond and fig trees) and clear waters well suited for swimming and observation of sea life.

Puerto Viejo is located towards the south of the Limón Province along the highway to Bribrí, 10 km after Cahuita. Together with Cocles Beach, the shoreline here extends for 10 km. Between Puerto Viejo and Cocles Beach, a coral reef allows for the creation of a true aquarium that is very attractive for free diving. The presence of land and marine animals and plants creates a beautiful natural setting where visitors can enjoy sun, beach, ocean, diving, surfing and photo opportunities.
